How measure Sunnoise ?
Wait until sun is > 30 ° in the sky because of picking up noise with the sidelobes of your antenna. If possible switch AGC off at your TRX.  Turn antenna to the coldest point with the lowest noise in the sky and press the store buttom of software NoiseMeter.  Turn antenna into the sun.  NoiseMeter now shows you the difference between Cold Sky and the Sun. This difference is your sunnnoise.  With VK3UM EMECalc you can calculate what your theoretical maximun Sunnoise could be.

What if TRX has no AGC OFF switch ?
Turn antenna into the sun. Look at the Noise Level at NoiseMeter software. Reduce the rf-gain until you can see a 10 db lower level at NoiseMeter Software.
Now you can measure your sunnoise like described above.

Not first choise on EME is the use of PL259 connections which were designed in 1930. PL259 is not a 50 Ohm connection and it is not waterproofed.
Please use only professional Type N connections which have only 0.05 dB loss @ 1 Ghz or 7/16 “ connectors for high power.
